San Jose Detectives Apprehend Two Alleged Dark Web Drug Traffickers

San Jose detectives apprehended two individuals accused of trafficking illegal drugs through the dark web, as confirmed by authorities on Thursday.

During an operation around 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 25, officers stopped a vehicle near Alum Rock Avenue and South White Road in San Jose. A subsequent search allegedly yielded various illicit substances, prompting the police to secure a warrant for the driver's San Jose residence.

Upon searching the residence, officers purportedly uncovered multiple firearms, including cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, opioids, and various pharmaceutical drugs intended for distribution. Additionally, evidence suggested the involvement of the U.S. Postal Service in shipping narcotics from the premises.

The primary suspect, identified as 36-year-old Joshua Jordan of San Jose, was allegedly found in possession of the seized items. Subsequently, after a four-month-long investigation, detectives asserted that Jordan was conducting illegal drug sales on the dark web, exclusively accepting cryptocurrency as payment. Furthermore, they identified a secondary suspect, 36-year-old Jonathan Correll Jr. of San Jose, allegedly collaborating with Jordan in trafficking narcotics online.

On March 22, law enforcement arrested Jordan in Santa Clara and Correll Jr. in San Jose. During the execution of search warrants at properties associated with the suspects, detectives purportedly seized several hundred grams of various illegal narcotics, along with firearms, ammunition, and approximately $6,000 in cash.
